About SurfSignal

SurfSignal is a session decision app for kitesurfers, wingfoilers, windsurfers and surfers. Instead of another forecast app with an overload of models and graphs, riders set their own spots and preferred conditions once, using wind, gusts, direction, waves, swell, tide and temperature. They then get one clear daily notification when a window lines up, alongside high resolution hourly forecasts up to ten days out, live wind and cams where available. No account needed and no ads.

Platforms: iPhone and Android.
Price: Free. An optional Super subscription is €1.99 a month or €19.99 a year.
Account: None. No sign-up, no email address, no password.
Advertising: None.
Forecasts: The highest resolution model available per spot, hourly, up to ten days ahead, checked for new model data as often as every 15 minutes.
Live wind: Measured stations from 27 national weather networks, with airport stations filling the gaps in about 200 countries.
Live cams: Hundreds of hand-checked public cameras in more than 40 countries. The streams are public and run by others, and are never re-hosted.
Languages: Eleven: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Danish, Polish and Hungarian. The daily notification arrives in the same language as the app.
